Privacy Policy

Your images never leave your device. All AI and compression processing happens securely in your browser using WebAssembly.

At imgshrnk, privacy is built into everything we do. We use AI models and WebAssembly to process images 100% in your browser — no uploads, no servers, no storage.

1. No Data Leaves Your Device

Every image you process is handled locally using:

  • WebAssembly for high-performance, secure execution in your browser
  • AI models (like ISNet) that run entirely client-side via ONNX Runtime
  • Zero server interaction — your files are never uploaded or transmitted

2. No Image Storage

We do not store, log, or retain any images you process. Once you close the tab or download your result, all data is gone.

3. Anonymous Analytics (Optional)

We collect minimal, anonymized usage data to improve performance and reliability:

  • Browser type and screen size
  • Feature usage (e.g., “compression started”)
  • No IP addresses, no filenames, no image content

You can disable analytics at any time via your browser’s cookie settings.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use only essential local storage to remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode, last-used settings). No tracking cookies. No third-party scripts.

5. Security by Design

Our use of WebAssembly and client-side AI ensures:

  • Memory isolation — processed data cannot be accessed by external scripts
  • Automatic cleanup after processing
  • Fallback to Canvas API if WebAssembly is unavailable

6. Your Rights

Since we don’t collect personal data:

  • No data to delete — nothing is stored
  • No account required — full access without login
  • Opt out of analytics by blocking cookies

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Changes will be posted here with the updated date.
